The MSU Health and Dental Insurance plans covers full-time undergraduate students at McMaster University enrolled in 18 units or more. Coverage runs from September 1st to August 31st.
Please note: There is blackout period every year from September 1 until mid-October while waiting for the opt-out to be completed, and for the list of names from the University. Please hold on to your receipts and then you may claim them once the blackout period has been lifted.
Through contractual agreements, the following McMaster students are also covered:
- Midwifery Students
- MBA Students
- Commerce Internship Students
- Undergraduate Medical Students
Part-time Students may now opt into the MSU plan. Please visit the MAPS website or MUSC 201 for more information.
Engineering Co-op Students on a 12 month (or longer) co-op, starting in May 2021 or September 2021, may opt into the MSU plans during the month of September. Please visit www.wespeakstudent.com and click on ‘part-time opt-in’ to sign up starting September 1. There are no exceptions to the deadline.
Varsity Athletes should refer to their copy of the Varsity Students Coverage Information booklet for their coverage terms. For specific details, Varsity Athletes should contact Matthew Moreland at the David Braley Sport Medicine & Rehabilitation Centre.
