Many business in the Hamilton community offer special discounts and savings, specifically for McMaster students. Here you can find many premier vendors and the incentives they offer.

On campus, there is no better value than TwelvEighty, The Grind, and Union Market. Managed by the McMaster Students Union, these locations are specifically run for the benefit of students, offering the best food, lattes, crepes, and quick food/beverage options, always for the the lowest prices!

The Grind:
Located inside TwelvEighty, accessible at the bottom of the stairs nearest Union Market, The Grind is a fabulous café, serving premium coffee, tea, espresso, lattés and cappuccinos – all made with 100% Arabica beans. The Grind also features a great selection of both sweet and savory crêpes, made fresh to order.

Union Market:
Located on the main floor of the Student Centre, UM offers the best prices on bagels, snacks, sandwiches, juice, and chocolate milk, making it a one-stop-shop for everything you need to get through your day. It has fair trade coffee and chocolate bars to choose from, as well as organic chips, pretzels, gluten-free snacks, and granola bars.

Please be prepared to show a valid McMaster student card to receive a student discount.

Grocery / Pharmacy

  • Fortino’s offers a 10% discount to students on Tuesdays. Must bring a valid student ID.
  • Food Basics offers a 10% discount to students on Tuesdays. Must bring a valid physical student card, an image or your card, or sign into mosaic in store.
  • Shoppers Drug Mart offers a 20% discount to students on Thursdays. Must bring a valid student ID.
  • Bulk Barn offers a 15% discount to students on Wednesdays.

Restaurants:

  • Pita Pit offers a student meal combo from Monday to Friday, 11 AM – 4PM at the Westdale location.
  • Masala Corner provides a 10% discount to students on Mondays and Tuesdays.
  • Dragon Court offers a 10% student discount on Wednesdays.
  • Mexican Kitchen offers students 10% off (any dish, dine-in or to-go, excluding groceries) Wednesday – Saturday.
  • Mr. Sub provides a 10% student discount on all subs, everyday.
  • Rannosh Restaurant and Lounge gives a 10% discount to students on Wednesdays
  • Wei Xiang Yuan offers a 15% discount (on takeout orders) on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays
  • Tahini’s Restaurant offers all McMaster students a 10% discount (Main St. W. location only)
  • Dominos pizza offers McMaster students a Large 1-Topping or Medium 4-Topping Pizzas for $10 coupon code “WISE”. Code does not expire and can be used more than once at any location in Hamilton or Dundas.
  • Kinton Ramen provides McMaster Students, Monday to Thursday 10% off all ramens (Hamilton UpperJames location only).

  • Sugarmoon Salon and Bode Spa – 15% off all services (excluding laser hair removal, IPL, & Flex MD light therapy sessions with a valid student ID at checkout).

Recreation

  • MSU students get a discount of 15% on the regular ticket price for Pursuit OCR Canada’s Largest Indoor Obstacle Course. The code can be applied online only, and all guests must be 15+ with a parent or legal guardian or 18+ to enter (check their FAQ for more details).
  • Enjoy 20% OFF Escape Rooms from Sunday to Thursday at Escape Manor Hamilton. STUDENT20 at checkout will apply the discount, and ID will be required at check-in!
  • UNiDAYS is a database of available discounts for university students.
  • Mr. Gao offers a 10% discount to students Monday – Friday before 9PM.
  • Ontario Pickleball Academy (Canadian Pickleball Store) is offering 10% off to all McMaster Students, Faculty and Staff from its pickleball store (online and in person) with code “McMaster10”. This includes all pickleball paddles and pickleball gear.
