AVTEK Productions is the MSU’s audio/visual and live production service, operating out of the McMaster University Student Centre. AVTEK offers excellent customer service and affordable prices to all members of the McMaster University community. AVTEK is known for some high profile campus events including, Charity Ball, Light Up the Night, Welcome Week, and Homecoming.

PLEASE NOTE: Requests received with less than two weeks notice before event date cannot be guaranteed.

Since its inception in 2005, AVTEK has been catering to the entertainment based technological needs of McMaster University. As the technical production division of MSU Campus Events, AVTEK Productions is equipped to handle all of your audio-visual production requirements, whatever the size.

Be it something as small as a projector for a boardroom, a coffee house, or a live concert for thousands of people, AVTEK can help make your event spectacular. If you are thinking about hosting an event and need help getting your live production in order, send AVTEK an email and they will be happy to help get the ball rolling.

AVTEK is proud to offer top-notch production services to the McMaster community at affordable rates. Production services include delivery, setup, takedown, and removal of gear and expert staff to operate it as required.

Production Services include:

  • Show Production – Planning a concert, theater show, or festival? AVTEK can help to ensure that your audio and lighting are covered. We have the ability to mix audio for full-bands and stage shows large and small. We also provide stage and ambient lighting services for concerts and shows.
  • PA Systems – AVTEK staff can set up a PA system with the necessesary inputs needed (Aux, microphones, etc.) for public speaking events, conferences, and more.
  • Staging – We can build any type of stage setup from big too small, short or tall.
  • Video Projection Systems – We offer a wide range of video projectors and monitors for any presentational needs. From small systems for boardroom presentations to large systems for general assemblies.
  • Powered Generation – We can help distribute power for your event, whether it be a small generator for an outdoor event or a large video game tournament.
  • TwelvEighty – AVTEK operates the lighting and sound system in TwelvEighty. After booking the facility from the TwelvEighty managers, we would be happy to assist you with your production needs.
