Compass is an MSU service located in the Marketplace of the Student Centre. We can provide you with general information, transportation info and tickets, discount event and attraction tickets and more!

Compass Information Centre is your on-campus location for general questions about services provided by the McMaster Students Union (MSU), the University, and McMaster community.

Compass can help you:

  • Buy, Load, or replace your Presto card.
  • Buy tickets for the Hamilton Street Railway (HSR), Greyhound and Megabus.
  • Replace your lost HSR/MSU bus pass.

Event Tickets and Attraction Passes
Compass sell tickets to events on campus including concerts and events put on by MSU Clubs and University departments, as well as McMaster sporting events. If you would like your event tickets sold through Compass, please email Compass management — we would be glad to help. Compass also offers discounted tickets to external events throughout the year including Cineplex, Canada’s Wonderland, CNE + many more!

Compass offers marketing opportunities for those interested in promoting a club, event, workshop or fundraiser either at McMaster or in the great Hamilton Community. This is done through a Smart TV, as well as iPad(s) which are visible to students passing by or visiting the desk. If you would like to advertise through Compass, please contact Compass management.

Monday-Friday: 10:45am-5:15pm

Saturday-Sunday: Closed

Found something?

Compass does NOT accept any lost & found items. Any items found are to be placed in the black security drop box located to the left of the MUSC atrium elevators. Items are held in a secure location for 30 days.

If you have lost a student card, please contact the Registrar’s Office immediately.

Lost Something?

Be sure to retrace your steps first. Then, fill out a lost report on the McMaster Security Services website, try to be as descriptive as possible and wait for a response to your phone or email address. Filling out a form will speed up the process of finding your lost item.
