2022 MSU Presidential Election results

Simranjeet Singh has won the 2022 MSU Presidential election and is President-elect of the McMaster Students Union. The President takes office on May 1, 2022 and serves through April 20, 2023. Voter turnout for the Presidential election was 11.44% with 3107 students casting a ballot.

The results of the election were ratified by the MSU Elections Committee, in a meeting following the closing of polls on January 27, 2022. The Elections Committee, charged with overseeing all elections of and within the MSU, completed the campaign evaluation process by assessing fines and addressing complaints levied against candidates. In addition, the Committee witnessed and ratified the results of the tabulation of votes via Simply Voting, the MSU’s online voting portal.

Results are considered unofficial at this time, as all candidates have five (5) business days to appeal their fines and contest the results.
