McMaster SynBio is a student-led synthetic biology research team at McMaster University. Every year, our team works to develop a project that will be presented at the iGEM (International Genetically Engineered Machine) Grand Jamboree. Our award-winning team includes undergraduate students from numerous faculties and departments who are passionate about scientific research and using synthetic biology to address local and global issues. Our team works across a range of areas, including wet and dry lab, scientific communication, human practices, outreach, and finance. Our goal is to inspire and educate the McMaster community about synthetic biology while fostering a culture of collaboration, mentorship, and research excellence within our team.
