McMaster Effective Altruism is a student-run chapter of the broader Effective Altruism (EA) movement based at McMaster University. The club is focused on helping students explore how they can use their time, resources, and careers to do the most good. It brings together people who are interested in applying evidence and reason to tackle some of the world’s most pressing problems—such as global health, poverty alleviation, animal welfare, and existential risk.
