Overview
This position is responsible for the management of three subcommittees; fundraising and promotions, set and decorations and volunteer coordination, involving all aspects leading up to the day of the event, scheduling, set up, and take down included. The coordinator position acts as a leader and liaison between Campus Events, the chosen charity and the Charity Ball committee.

- An ability to execute deadlines while under various pressure situations
- An ability to complete assigned tasks
- An ability to clearly communicate with all involved parties
- Excellent problem-solving skills
- Awareness of various campus groups and the McMaster community
- Excellent time management
- An ability to follow a budget
Effort & Responsibility
- Some physical labour required on the day of the event
- Responsible for collecting all fundraising monies and depositing in accordance to MSU procedures
Working Conditions
- Most work can be performed in a shared office space
- On the event date, frequent flashing lights and loud music can be expected
Training and Education
- On the job training (provided)
- Event planning and/or promotion experience is an asset
- Experience fundraising or soliciting sponsorships is an asset
Equipment
- Personal computer
