Overview

The Volunteer Chair’s role is to work with the Charity Ball Coordinator and the executive committee to support the recruitment and organization of volunteers. Their main goal will be to ensure all volunteers feel comfortable in their roles. They will act as a first point of contact for all administrative concerns that arise involving volunteers and create schedules that work for all members. 

 Major Duties and Responsibilities 

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

  • Organizational and time management skills 
  • An ability to work under tight timelines  
  • Strong communication skills 
  • Must be able to work independently and as part of a team 

Effort & Responsibility

  • Attention to detail and excellent delegation skills 
  • Assistance in other areas of Charity Ball 

Working Conditions

  • Time demands may exceed hours stated, especially as the event draws nearer 

Training and Education

  • Leadership and teamwork experience  

Equipment

  • Personal computer 
  • Shared office phone
